Coors Light
Hey-Beer-Man
There was a time when Coors Light was in no way connected to the world of sports.
My partner and I were tasked with coming up with a campaign of cheaply produced spots to blitz ESPN.
We found the intersection of sports and beer–BEER VENDORS.
Curiously, Coors Light beer was not sold in any stadiums across the country, with the exception of Coors Field in Denver.
We ended up shooting a dozen or so of these various characters. The result was Coors Light breaking into the sports arena and ultimately becoming a brand synonymous with watching the game and drinking a cold beer.
We later heard that this campaign frustrated the hell out of August Busch the third.
Mission accomplished.
Being shortlisted at Cannes felt pretty good as well.
